As a young teenage exile in Babylon, Daniel remained faithful to God despite cultural pressures that opposed his beliefs. When the Babylonians tried to change Daniel’s diet and religion to conform to their ways, he refused to compromise his convictions, choosing to honor God above all else.
“But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself” (Daniel 1:8 NASB).
Lesson learned: In the face of cultural pressure and opposition, make up your mind to prioritize obedience to God and His truth.

“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14b).

Yet he remained faithful and undeterred in his mission, steadfastly proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to all who would listen. And he finished well.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
